This interior renovation project began with an demolition of the rear main level and creating space for two additions. We built a bump out to enlarge the dining room, and a 600 square foot family room extension. During the renovation we removed several walls and installed hidden, upset beams to eliminate headers, resulting in a clear line of sight from the dining room to the family room fireplace, 80’ away!
In the center is a one of a kind kitchen with two large center islands. We installed white Decora cabinetry with inset doors on both sides of the giant galley, to contrast the mocha cabinetry on the large center islands. Exotic granite and an incredible, custom marble mosaic backsplash frame custom fit hood fins. All the appliances installed are Thermador. The pantry has a pocket door and hidden, indirect lighting for the shelves. The family room addition features a steep vaulted ceiling, a gas fireplace and custom floating walnut shelves. Our design includes many windows for beautiful natural lighting on the surrounding mahogany wall elements. Both the kitchen and dining room have bold, vintage style light fixtures. We installed modern, custom made trims, casings and hardwood floors throughout.
We completed the laundry room remodel with a stainless steel, free standing sink, and stainless steel shelves and work table, and a custom full height utility cabinet. We refinished the entire exterior with James Hardie siding and trims.
